What to Expect @ NLRC
Where is NLRC? When are your services? What should I wear? Should I bring a Bible? Which Bible translation do you use? Does NLRC have childcare? What is the music like? Will I be asked to give money?
Where is NLRC?
We are located at the eastern city limits of Breckenridge, TX on Highway 180. You can get directions to NLRC on our times & directions page.
When are your services?
Our main Sunday Worship Service is each Sunday at 10:00 AM. You can get service times for NLRC on our times & directions page.
What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable to you! NLRC is a “come as you are” church. Jeans and ties are equally welcomed.
Should I bring a Bible? Which Bible translation do you use?
We encourage you to bring with you a Bible, so that you can follow along in God’s word during the message. We also do our best to project the texts on the overhead display during the readings. Our pastor uses different versions of the Bible and especially encourages the use of the New American Standard Bible, the New Living Translation, or the New International Version as easy to read and useful translations; but attendees can bring any version they prefer to use.
Does NLRC have childcare?
Not only does New Life have trained, loving childcare workers for the little ones, but we have multiple activities available for your elementary aged children. For preschool children, a nursery is available during Sunday Morning Worship. If a childcare worker needs to contact you during the worship service, a staff member or volunteer will be contacted and that person will come and find you. Elementary aged children are invited to attend Children’s Sunday School during the Message portion of Sunday Worship where sound Biblical teachings and corresponding crafts will be provided by our teachers.
Children are always welcome in adult worship services. As a matter of fact, we believe it is very important for our families to worship together.
What is the music like?
Our Sunday Morning Worship begins with upbeat, contemporary Praise creatively flowing into meaningful and free Worship of our Lord. We have a full band complete with drums, guitars, keyboards, and live vocals, but it’s never too loud and is tastefully presented to church goers. Don’t know our songs? We display all lyrics to the songs sang each week.
Will I be asked to give money?
Offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who call NLRC their home. For guests, your presence is a gift to us, but you are welcome to help sow into God’s ministries through your giving to our church. At Sunday worship services, a time is announced for attendees to come forward with their tithes and offerings and place those in the plates on either side of the pulpit. Only the NLRC bookkeeper knows what anyone gives.
We look forward to meeting you very soon!
